Handmade Drawing Table
The goal of the project was to produce an interpretation of the traditional drafting table. Design iterations sought to understand the ergonomics and function of the table, along with the mechanics of articulation. The resulting final product utilizes minimal structural elements to provide a movement range from zero to twenty-five degrees, and supports the ability to knock down for ease of transportation.
Integration of functions such as the pencil tray and hardware for articulation, strive to produce simplicity of form, enhancing the function of each piece so that elements provide multiple uses while remaining true to the design intent.
